Your personal agentic computer.
h.computer is the platform. hstack is the protocol your computer ships to the rest of the agentic web. This page is the platform overview — if you want the installable API surface, jump to hstack docs. If you want to spin up your own, head to Build Your Own.
The hosted platform. A personal, multi-agent computer at {you}.computer — sync'd with your context, your connectors, your taste. Lovable for personal sites.
The portable layer. An open API + MCP + skill bundle every {you}.computer ships. Any agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) installs yours with one curl.
Author skills, expose tools, plug in connectors, define new endpoints. Your you.md is the source of truth — your computer recompiles itself.
The vision
Personal websites became dashboards. Dashboards became feeds. Feeds became algorithms that own you. h.computer reverses it: every human gets a sandboxed, always-on computer that thinks like them, ships their work, talks to their other agents, and exposes the surface they choose — read for the public, write for them and the tools they trust.
The bet: in a world where everyone has 50 AI agents running, the scarce resource is a single, coherent, identity-aware surface for each person. That surface is {you}.computer.
Platform vs Protocol
| Layer | What it is | Lives at |
|---|---|---|
| h.computer | The hosted platform — auth, hosting, the on-site H agent, themes, cron, embeds, the gallery, billing. Lovable for personal sites. | {you}.computer |
| hstack | The portable contract every instance ships — REST endpoints, MCP server, owner-scoped hk_ keys, an AGENTS.md, and a baseline skill bundle. Open spec. | /api/v1, /api/public/mcp |
| you.md | Your context layer — bio, projects, agent directives, custom files. Your computer pulls it on a TTL and recompiles its identity. | you.md/{you} |
Who it's for
- Founders & operators — a public surface that updates itself from your real work, not a stale landing page.
- Researchers & writers — a citable, agent-readable corpus with one canonical URL per idea.
- Artists, athletes, indie hackers — a living portfolio + journal + API that other agents can pull from.
- Any agent power-user — one place your Claude/Codex/Cursor/Pi/Hermes/openclaw stack can read & write you safely.
What you actually get
you.md is the source of truth
Your computer doesn't store your identity — it syncs it. Edit your you.md, your computer updates within a few hours, no redeploy. Bio, project list, agent directives, and custom files all flow through. Swap context layers and your computer becomes a different person.
Skills & tools
A skill is a markdown file that teaches a visiting agent how to do something on your computer (append to journal, publish a post, refresh a connector). A tool is an MCP endpoint that actually does it. Together they're the installable surface of your computer — see Build Your Own to author your first one.
Connectors
Connectors are the bridges between your computer and the rest of your stack. See the full live grid at /connections — h.computer ships first-party connectors for Gmail, Google Calendar, GitHub, Slack, Notion, Stripe, Firecrawl, you.md, folder.md, bamf.ai, marine/meteor weather + surf, hubify, and more. Any agent with a valid hk_ key can call through them.
You're currently browsing Houston's reference instance. Your own takes about five minutes — bring a you.md URL and we'll do the rest.
